Ely Area Events

March 10th

  • E3 Symposium
Energy Efficient Ely (E3) will present the eighth in its Energy Symposium Speaker Series on Wednesday, March 10th at 5:00 pm. This week the presenter will be Sheri Biondi. Her topic will be “Putting the Power of Mother Nature to Work for You”. Her focus will be on practical gardening and landscaping applications to save energy, and about the benefits of growing and buying local.
The (E3) symposium consists of nine separate lectures by visiting presenters. The symposium presents information on all facets of energy production, consumption and conservation. Co-sponsored with the VCC Sustainability Committee staff and students, the lectures are presented on successive Wednesdays in the Vermilion Community College lecture hall, Room CL104 at 5:00 pm from January 20th to March 17th. All presentations are free and open to the public. Come and learn about future energy problems and opportunities!

March 18th - 27th

  • Spring Musical
Join us for VCC's 24th Annual Spring Musical! Presented by Northern Lakes Arts and Vermilion Community College, "GODSPELL" opens March 18th and runs through March 27th at the Vermilion Community College Fine Arts Theater. A cast of 20 community members sing and dance their hearts out in the roles of this lively music-filled show! Mark your calendar and get your tickets early! Tickets for "GODSPELL" are available for presale at Music Outfitters. (Reach them at (218) 365-2889.) Music Outfitters does accept credit card payments.
